We are currently seeking an experienced Director of Business Development with a strong grasp of the real estate and private lending sectors. The successful candidate will be tasked with fostering business relationships, generating leads, and significantly growing our business both on and offline.
 
Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute strategic business development plans to extend our reach and increase our client base.
  2. Build and maintain relationships with key players in the industry including investors, developers, brokers, and more.
  3. Identify and seize new business opportunities in both existing and potential markets.
  4. Implement and oversee the growth and expansion of a sales team (loan officers).
  5. Create a strong online presence through digital marketing, educational videos, and active engagement on social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.
  6. Schedule and/or attend networking events, meetups, education seminars, lunches and industry conventions on a weekly basis to foster relationships and raise company profile.
  7. Generate leads, negotiate, and close deals with a high level of professionalism.
  8. Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and industry developments to ensure our business stays competitive.
  9. Collaborate with internal teams to optimize profitability and enhance our product offerings.
  10. Regularly report to senior management on business development activities and achievements.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred, but not required. We value real world experience over education.
  2. Preferred 5 years’ experience in business development or a related role within the private/hard money lending industry or real estate sector.
  3. Proven track record of deal sourcing, negotiation, and closing.
  4. Active participation in real estate transactions, networking, meetups, and educational events.
  5. Strong existing online presence and experience in leveraging social media platforms for business growth.
  6. In-depth understanding of real estate finance, lending practices, and regulatory landscape.
  7. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to foster and maintain strong professional relationships.
  8. Robust strategic and analytical skills, with a focus on results.
  9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  10. Must be an extrovert and willing to “put yourself out there”.

We are seeking a driven and social individual to build relationships with real estate investors and to assist in originating & processing loans throughout the nation, with a main focus in Texas.

Your Main Role:

  • Processing loan files and preparing files for closing
  • Getting loans “to the finish line” on time. Ensuring all parties have submitted the appropriate documents to meet the closing deadline
  • Reviewing documents to ensure they meet underwriting requirements
  • Preparing various business related documents and misc. tasks for the company
  • Answering our business phone line
  • Reviewing property insurnace for any errors
  • Draft loan quotes/term sheets
  • Communicating directly with clients, title companies, insurance agents, appraisers, etc. via phone, email and text
  • Drafting documents (Extensions, Draws, Assignments and Proof of Funds)
  • Collecting recorded documents
  • Organizing documents using DropBox
  • Miscellaneous admin task

Your may also be asked to:

  • Discuss loan options with clients and determining the best loan product for their needs
  • Assist in underwriting investment projects
  • Assess loan risk. View every deal as if you are lending your own money
  • Review loan applications
  • Use Facebook for marketing

The loan products you will be providing:

  • Fix and Flip
  • Fix to Rent
  • New Construction
  • 30 Year Rental Loans
  • Transactional Funding

Requirements: 

  • Must have experience in lending/finance preferred in hard money lending. Experience in real estate investing a plus.
  • Experience processing files and ensuring documents meet requirements.
  • Proficient in math
  • Great communication skills
  • Problem solving skills/ coming up with ideas
  • Processing experience
  • Focused-Attention to detail is a must
  • Experienced- Efficient in sales, marketing and processing
  • Composed-Performs well under pressure and can move quickly. Most of these loans need to close yesterday, and our clients expect speed and timeliness
  • Quick learner, multi task, punctual and must know how to prioritze
  • Must be located near Plano, Texas

Preferred:

  • An understanding of hard money lending, loan products and structures
  • Sales experience
  • CRM experience (preferably Salesforce)
  • Computer with internet access and Microsoft Office
  • Experience using FrontApp for emails

Pay: Start base salary is $35,000. Base salary of $40,000 after 3-month probationary period. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). Opportunities for commission are also available. Hours are Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM
